Choosing Seafood | As an ambassador for Seafood Nutrition Partnership for over nine years, I support SNP’s mission, “to inspire a healthier America through partnerships and outreach to raise awareness about the essential nutritional benefits of eating seafood.

Seafood Nutrition Partnership has grown exponentially since its inception over ten years ago. Please join one of SNP’s campaign’s and encourage, “Eat Seafood America”
Now onto the reason we are all here; why seafood is a great choice!

Choosing Seafood | I chose seafood as a protein alternative at least four times a week. The benefits rival that of other proteins such as chicken, pork and beef. Don’t get me wrong, I indulge in all foods, but I lean mostly on seafood for its rich choices of high-quality protein, essential omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. Seafood consumption has many health advantages; heart health, reduced risk of chronic diseases, enhanced brain function, and support for healthy growth and development, particularly in children, and brain health.
The Omega-3 fatty acids found in seafood have been associated with reduced inflammation, lower blood pressure, and a decreased risk of cardiovascular problems. Seafood is also an excellent alternative to protein.
Moreover, seafood gives us a diverse range of flavors and textures which makes it a versatile in the kitchen, and a most satisfying culinary experience!
By including seafood in your diet, you’re reaping nutritional benefits AND savoring the unique tastes from our ocean.
