Salmon Shepard’s Pie. It’s Seaworthy!

  • 1 lb farmed salmon skinless
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 1 cup carrots chopped
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth can use fish broth
  • 4 yukon gold potatoes med- large
  • 2 tbs butter unsalted
  • 3 tbs olive oil


Salmon and vegetables

  • Cut fish into cubes and set aside
  • Heat a deep pan with oil on medium heat
  • Sauté onions, celery, and carrots for another 5-6 minutes
  • Add salmon and broth and sauté for another minute turning the salmon
  • Transfer to a pyrex of dutch oven deep pot
  • Line half the potatoes on the bottom of a pyrex baking dish, or dutch oven pot
  • Add all the salmon and vegetables and top with remaining potatoes


  • Peel and boil potatoes; drain and then mash with butter
