Travel is an integral element to understanding food. I love learning about culture and the number one way to do that is to go to the source. As per the Off the Beaten Palate documentary series, I learned invaluable lessons about where food comes from, by literally digging in with a farmer or fisherman. This is not just about tasting the food, but understanding the methods and the greatest passion of cultivating food. There is no doubt that food tastes much better coming from its origin. It is my pleasure to share these cuisines from around the world and to implement them as close to the source as possible.
